SciDyn
Presents VoIP Technology at India 2001 Conference,
First IP Telephony Conference Held in India
Cherry Hill, NJ -- (April
17, 2001) -- Science Dynamics Corporation SciDyn (NASDAQ:
SIDY), a leading developer of Internet Protocol-based (IP) telephony
solutions and services is introducing its IP telephony products and
services at the first IP telephony conference held in India. India 2001
is hosted by iLocus.com, a market research group dedicated to the global
IP telephony industry. The conference is being held at the LeMeridian
Hotel in Bangalore, India from April 17th through April19th, 2001.
Earlier this year, the
government of India announced its decision to replace the Telegraph
Act with a new Convergence Act. Under the 1885 Telegraph Act, separate
rules existed for the delivery of voice and data and hence Internet
telephony was not permissible. Indias Convergence Act will have
uniform laws regarding the delivery system of voice and data that will
allow the entry and emergence of voice over IP telephony (VoIP) communication,
opening the market to IP telephony infrastructure providers such as
SciDyn.
During the iLocus.com
show, SciDyn will be promoting its IntegratorC-2000® series of IP gateways
that enable real-time, two-way communication between traditional circuit-switched
networks and packet-switched IP telephony networks. The series includes
gateway solutions that can handle anywhere from 4 analog to 360 digital
voice ports per chassis and are scalable to more than 5,000 ports. The
gateways are built upon SciDyns powerful BubbleLINK® software
architecture that provides remote upgradability, seamless scalability
and optional value added services such as Debit Card, Prepaid, Collect
Call and other traditional Card Services. SciDyn will also participate
in an industry roundtable at the conference outlining the future of
new hybrid networks that bridge legacy circuit-switched networks with
new VoIP based packetswitched networks.
SciDyns robust,
yet versatile, gateways are designed to help enterprises and service
providers create and manage a complete, feature-rich IP telephony network
for voice and fax transport. Our software boasts a distributed process
architecture that achieves a high level of efficiency, flexibility and
availability of services across the network, stated Joe Giegerich,
Vice President of Sales and Marketing. We are committed to technological
innovation and are adept and willing to provide customized solutions.
SciDyn encompasses more than twenty years of telecommunication experience
and is excited to offer its products and services to enterprises and
service providers that want to reap the benefits of IP telephony in
India.
